Griffin. - Reverend Leo Patrick PE.
Ordained a Catholic priest at St Patrick's Cathedral, East Melbourne on 27 July, 1963. He served as Assistant Priest at the parishes of Preston (1963), Mordialloc (1967), Heidelberg (1968), Castlemaine (1970), and Camberwell South (1974). In 1976 he was appointed Administrator of Alexandra parish and in 1977 became Parish Priest. He was then appointed Assistant Priest at the parishes of St Kilda East (1991) and Blackburn (1994). Upon his retirement in 1997, Fr Leo was appointed Pastor Emeritus. He was a kind, generous, caring and prayerful priest. He died on Tuesday 30 October 2018 at St Joseph's, Little Sisters of the Poor, Northcote. He was aged 84. The Archdiocese of Melbourne is grateful to God for Fr Leo Griffin's dedicated service to his people. May he rest in peace.

Passed away peacefully Tuesday October 30, 2018. Aged 84 years.
Son of Mary and Thomas (both dec). Brother of Kevin (dec), John, and Maureen (dec). Brother-in-law to Shirley (dec), Margo and Patrick. Wonderful and loving uncle to Mark, Rick, Janine, Therese, Katherine, Paul, Maree and Kristina. Life long friend to Fr. George O'Connor.

Griffin. Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of Father Leo Patrick Griffin will be offered in the chapel of the Little Sisters of the Poor, 112b St Georges Road, Northcote, on Thursday (November 8, 2018) commencing at 10.45 am. Burial will take place at Warringal Cemetery Heidelberg.
