Parker, William

Date and place of birth unknown. Place of education unknown. College where he studied unknown, but possibly Maynooth. He came to the Armidale diocese as a deacon with John Pollard a priest ordained in Cashel in 1873 and sent out to Armidale on loan to the diocese, and Jeremiah O'Riordan who also worked in the diocese. He was ordained priest in the newly completed Armidale cathedral on Palm Sunday 1874 (26 March 1874), and was the second priest ordained in the diocese, John Davis being the first. He developed a public reputation as a drunkard, finally left Armidale, and was attached to the Maitland diocese. His work or life from then is unknown. Date and place of death unknown. Place of burial unknown.
