Upset by Disturbers in Brisbane
In Brisbane Diocese in early 1870's: a short time at Clermont and Gympie. "Counselled to leave diocese by one or two disturbers". (Letter of Dr. John Cani to Propaganda 22.2.1873) "and left without Bishop's permission." (The disturbers at this period were Frs. Ricci and Scortechini who were drawing up a Syllabus of Accusations against Bishop James Quinn and the Irish clergy).
