J. O'Neill., The Southern Cross, Adelaide, 7 July 1911, p 14, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article167002233: The Very Rev. T. F. O'Neill, of Gawler, has received particulars by mail of the death, near Tipperary, of his brother (late Rev. J. O'Neill of Castlemaine), of which he received news a few days ago. During his last illness Father O'Neill was visited by all of the priests of Tipperary, and especially by Father Ryan, of Lattin, and the Tipperary nuns. As the end had been expected for some days, all preparations had been made, and everything was becomingly arranged. A solemn requiem Mass was celebrated in the Tipperary church, whither the remains had been removed over-night. Canon Ryan, of Tipperary, was the celebrant, Father J. Byrnes deacon, and Father Crowe sub-deacon; and there were ten priests in the choir—three from Hospital, one from Emly, two from Lattin, one from Kilteely, and five Tipperary priests. The remains were interred in a prominent site in the church grounds, and the congregation was representative of Hospital and Tipperary.—R.I.P. --- Kevin Condon, CM, The Missionary College of All Hallows 1842-1891, Dublin, 1986.
