Just a Name on a Memorial Tablet
This is a personality not as yet researched. The supposition is that he was a victim of last century's scourge, T.B., and that he arrived in 1888, coming with a view to prolong life in the Australian sunshine. He lived at Richmond, and seemingly did not have a diocesan appointment. When he died on 9 October 1889 Father Patrick Aylward of West Melbourne arranged his funeral. Probably his remains lie in an unmarked grave, but a tablet to his memory in the Priests' Mortuary Chapel records his name and the age of 55.
