Buckley, Daniel, MSC (Left Order), Irish
Ecclesiastical Court Action Against Him
b. Cork(?); ed. Bruges(?). Arr. Syd. with a group of MSC missionaries late in 1897. Appointed curate in Botany '98. Served at Randwick '99-'04. He was forced to leave Aus. in '04 on account of an ecclesiastical court action against him. He was accepted in the parish of St. Alban's, Westminster. Later went to USA where he was accepted by the Bishop of St. Louis. He left the Society officially in 1911. In Footprints, Vol. 1, No. 9 it was stated that he later served in N.Z. (after '04). The writer was confused by a similar name.
