Death notice, New Zealand Herald, Auckland, 9 July 2026:
Bancroft, Michael Keith (OStJ JP Rtd). On 7 July 2026 at Auckland Hospital aged 76 years. Loved eldest son of the late Joan and Ernest (Buster) Bancroft. Much loved brother of Raymond and Florence (Brisbane), Stephen and Marc (Sydney), Lorraine and Trevor (Te Kauwhata), Pauline and Barry (Coopers Beach) and a loved uncle and great uncle to all his nieces, nephews and their families. Long time cherished friend of Nick Marsh and Craig Page. Michael is a professed member of the Marist Brothers' Order, later a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Auckland and a retired Chaplain of the Order of St. John, led a life of faith, caring and service to the community. No flowers by request. The Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church, corner Lavelle and View Roads, Henderson on Monday 13 July 2026 at 10:30am.
