Diocese of Sale, Advocate, Melbourne, 10 October 1891, p 17, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article169276803:
(From our own Correspondent.)
I understand that the two young clergymen, the Rev. Frs. Shanahan and Nolan, whose names appeared some months ago in the Advocate and Irish papers as having been ordained for the diocese of Sale, arrived on Sunday last at Albany, and are consequently expected to reach here to-day. I have much pleasure in congratulating the rev. gentlemen on their safe arrival, and in bidding them a hearty welcome to Gippsland.
