Holiday Trip to New Zealand, The Maitland Daily Mercury, 12 November 1907, p 4, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article124450485:

To-morrow the Revs. Father McCormack of Lochinvar and Sullivan of East Maitland will leave Sydney for a health and holiday trip to New Zealand, where they intend spending about three months. Father McCormack has well earned his holiday, as during the past few years he has had to put forth great exertions in the matter of the building of the presbytery and the establishing of the new parish at Lochinvar, while he laboured untiringly with the work connected with the big bazaar in aid of St. Joseph's Convent just previously, so that he has had a very busy as well as a very anxious time since settling in the parish over which he so ably presides. During his absence his place will be filled by the Rev. C. McAuliffe. Father Sullivan, of East Maitland, has been very unwell for some considerable time, and in consequence he has obtained from the Coadjutor-Bishop leave of absence for three months. Prior to his departure the people of East Maitland and Largs, with whom he is held in very high estimation, presented him with a purse containing over 40 sovereigns. The many friends of both these worthy priests will wish them a pleasant voyage and an enjoyable holiday, which it is hoped will bring about the desired improvement in health.

Diocese of Auckland, New Zealand Tablet, Dunedin, 28 November 1907, p 15, https://paperspast.natlib.govt.nz/periodicals/NZT19071128.2.16.10:

Rev. Fathers McCormack and Sullivan, of Maitland diocese, arrived here last Sunday by the 'Victoria' from Sydney. They are on a holiday tour through the Dominion. Both of them, being old Thurles College students, were delighted to find in Auckland two priests from the same seminary— Rev. Fathers Furlong and Tormey. They left yesterday for the Thames. From there they journey to Paeroa to visit the Very Rev. Dean Hackett, thence to Rotorua, and then down the Wanganui River to Wellington. Father McCormack goes to the West Coast, where his sister, Mrs. O'Rourke, and his brother, Mr. W. McCormack, reside at Granity. They expect to be absent three months from Maitland. It is fourteen years since Father McCormack was in Auckland.
