Death of Grenfell Parish Priest, Boorowa News, 3 September 1954, p 4, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article120169771:

The Rev. Father Michael O'Sullivan, of Grenfell, passed away at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Young, early on Thursday morning last at the age of 73 years.

Father O'Sullivan had served the Grenfell parish for the past 12 years. He came from Taralga to Grenfell.

He was ordained in Salamanca, Spain, and would have celebrated his 50 years jubilee as a priest in another three years.

Requiem Mass for the repose of his soul was offered on Friday morning at St. Joseph's Church, Grenfell, after which the cortege moved to the Catholic portion of the Grenfell cemetery.

Father O'Sullivan was taken ill while celebrating Mass on Sunday, August 22. He was assisted from the church and was later admitted to hospital.

At the funeral obsequies 43 priests attended, including Archbishop Eris O'Brien and Bishop Guildford Young.
