Comaskey, Bernard, Irish
Servant in Sydney and Maitland

As far as can be ascertained he was a 'free lancer' from 1919 to the time of his death in Sydney on 15 May 1941. At least his name cannot be traced in Directories for that period. Origin and education are not recorded. He appears in Directories in 1899 as being at Camden; later at St. Benedict's (1901)(1908). In 1912-3 he was with Mgr. Joseph Collins at Mount Carmel, Waterloo. He then shows up in 1916 as assistant to a rigorist pastor at Cobargo on the south coast, Father Edward Hanrahan. Returning to Sydney he is listed for Newtown in 1918. And there the trail ends. The 1941 Necrology in the Directory states that he belonged to the Maitland Diocese.
