Father Paddy
Born to Annie (nee O'Reilly) and James Gillic on 16 February 1934 in Kilmore Ireland. He studied at Drumrora Primary School and St Patrick's College, Cavan and trained for the Priesthood at All Hallows College, Dublin where he was ordained in 1958.
Father Paddy served as a Priest in the dioceses of Sydney and Broken Bay. He was Assistant Priest in the parishes of Redfern, Concord West, Penshurst, Forestville, Lakemba, Ashbury, Caringbah and Parish Priest in the parishes of Davidson, St Ives and Harbord. Father Paddy retired in 2008 and died peacefully on 23 October 2014.
Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial for Father Patrick Gillic will be offered in St John the Baptist Church, corner Johnson and Oliver Streets, Freshwater on Friday, October 31, 2014 commencing at 11.00am.
The funeral will leave the church at the conclusion of the Mass for Frenchs Forest Bushland Cemetery, 1 Hakea Avenue Davidson.
Clergy who wish to concelebrate are asked to bring an alb.
