Cahill, John Joseph, Irish
One More Victim of T.B.

This is a brother of Rt. Rev. Wm. Cahill ('Big Bill of Binalong') - described later. The exact Irish origin is unknown, but it is known that he studied at Propaganda, Rome, for the Wilcannia-Forbes Diocese, and was ordained about 1896. The only Directory tracings we have found are: Bourke (1897) and Brewarrina (1903). Unlike his huge, robust brother he didn't live long and succumbed to T.B. on 10.12.1903 at the age of 30. He is buried in the old section of the Orange Cemetery.
