T.W. Campbell, The Priests of the Diocese of Armidale: A Necrology, Braddon ACT, 2005:
Mooney, Edmund W (OSA)

Listed in E J Doody, Acta et Statuta 1951, Appendix VI, Obituary List, in the section headed 'supplementary list of priests who have also worked in the diocese', but with no details other than the period he reputedly worked in the diocese, in this case 1887.
Edmund Mooney was a priest of the Augustinian Order, Irish Province. He travelled the Australian colonies in 1886-1887 collecting funds for the construction of the church of St Augustine, John St, Dublin. He may have visited the Armidale diocese at the time suggested for that collecting purpose. He was not a priest of the diocese.
