Fathers E. McAuliffe, P.P. (Kensington), and R.J. O'Regan, P.P. (Rose Bay). Also on the same vessel are four priests, recently ordained in Ireland, who will be attached to the Archdiocese of Sydney. They comprise: Rev. Patrick Flanagan, Rev. James Collins, and Rev. Thomas Keogh, of All Hallows College; and Rev. Thomas Kane, of Wexford College. --- T.W. Campbell, The Priests of the Diocese of Armidale: A Necrology, Braddon ACT, 2005: Date and place of birth unknown. Details of education unknown. Place of study unknown. Date and place of ordination unknown. This entry is made because he is listed in ACD as being located at Tamworth in the years 1935 to 1937 and at Moree in 1938. There are no records of his movements within the diocese after that date. It has been suggested he was
an Irishman on loan to the diocese during the period from the Sydney Archdiocese, to where he then returned. Date and place of death unknown. Place of burial unknown. Collins, S A priest by the name of 'S Collins' is recorded as having been located at Moree in 1938. It is believed that the correct reference should be to J Collins.(Source: ACD) (Reproduced by permission of Tom Campbell.) |
