T.W. Campbell, The Priests of the Diocese of Armidale: A Necrology, Braddon ACT, 2005:
O'Brien, James (CSsR)

Listed simply as 'O'Brien', with no Christian name, in E J Doody, Acta et Statuta 1951, Appendix VI, Obituary List, in the section headed 'supplementary list of priests who have also worked in the diocese', but with no details other than the period he reputedly worked in the diocese, in this case 1898.
James O'Brien was a Redemptorist priest who was in Australia in the period 1895 to 1908, and who conducted missions. He probably would have conducted a mission or missions within the diocese in the period nominated. He was not a priest of the diocese.
