O'Reilly, Patrick
Date and place of birth unknown (Co Cavan, Ireland, 1830). Details of education unknown. He began his studies at All Hallows in 1860 after some years as a student of the classics at some unknown College. He was ordained at Carlow in 1864, exact date unknown. He came to New South Wales in 1864 and was first appointed to St Francis' Sydney, followed by St Benedict's, Sydney, and Burwood. He next spent time at Inverell then was sent to the Shoalhaven area, located at Dapto. It also seems that, while in the north western region, he spent some of 1869 at Tenterfield where he replaced Matthew Keoghan. He died at Dapto on 28 March 1878. He was buried in the Dapto church grounds.
