Bathurst. College's Former Dean Dies in Ireland, Catholic Weekly, Sydney, 30 August 1951, p 10, http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article146742341:

The Rev. Father Joseph Lavery, C.M., who was Dean of St. Stanislaus' College, Bathurst, in the first decade of this century, has died in Dublin. After returning to Ireland Father Lavery was attached to St. Patrick's College, Dublin, the training college for men teachers. He then served a second term in Australia, when he was attached to the Vincentian Houses at Ashfield and Malvern (Vic.). Most of the past 30 years he spent doing missionary work in England and Scotland, with headquarters in the latter country at Lanark. Shortly before his death he had been for a short time a member of the community of St. Paul's College, the new Vincentian College at Raheny, County Dublin, recently set up at the request of the Archbishop of Dublin. Father Lavery's sister, a well-known member of the Sacred Heart Order, is Mother Lavery of their convent in Armagh, Ireland.—R.I.P.
