This Belgian Benedictine came from Steenbrugge to Newton, New Zealand, in the early 1890s. An incompatibility with a fellow member of the community, Fr Osmond Egan, accounts for his return to Belgium in 1897. His name is recorded on the State Library of Victoria Shipping Lists in that year. Further information can be found in 'Tjurunga' (Australasian Benedictine Review), 1974-8.
