Born: October, 1902, in Rozelle, NSW.
After a career as a builder he attended Beda College Rome.
Ordained: 6/6/1941 in Kilkenny, Ireland.
Worked in Renmark 1943-44; Port Pirie 1945; Whyalla 1947; Port Augusta 1949; Whyalla 1953; Radium Hill 1956; Cleve 1962; Quorn 1964; Hawker 1973. Retired to Sydney.
Died: 14/4/1993.

Vincent Shiel
Vincent was the only priest who kicked me out of RI class. It was a hot summer afternoon and we all wanted to be outside playing not inside with Father Shiel who was a bit odd with his long white beard and long black cassock, so when a fly went across my page I slammed the book shut and killed it but also got kicked out for disturbing the class. Best thing really I got outside and missed the rest of the class, but the other kids were jealous as they had to stay in class with Vinny Shiel.
