Memories: Growing Up With Irish Priests
by Father Paul Bourke

Paul Bourke reflects on some Irish Priests from his childhood to his early days as a Priest.

Martin Kineavy
Martin Kineavy was an old, holy Priest that made us laugh with his funny little laugh. He was a gentle type, pious but also firm. He knew his people. After Mass one Sunday Dad stayed with some of the men for a Working Bee, but when Martin found out that they were working on Sunday he sent them home. When I was ordained he would ask my ideas on issues which gave me confidence and affirmation.
