Patrick Hughes, Roman Catholic Clergyman, who died on Monday, November 20, took place to-day, and were of a most imposing nature. The procession started from the late residence of the deceased amid a large concourse of spectators, and proceeded to the chapel, where the remains were laid in a vault under the north-east window inside the chapel. The service was read on the outside. The deceased clergyman had been ill for about ten months; bronchitis having been the primary complaint. He was much esteemed by his flock; and both here and at Willunga, where he was stationed previous to his coming to this district, his sympathies were with the poor and needy.
