Thomas Joseph Brady was born on 21 September 1922 in Bundaberg, one of five children born to Charles Brady and Anne Cleary. Fr Brady is survived by his sister Mrs Nance Berecry. His primary education was at the Gin Gin State School and secondary at St. Patrick's College, Gympie. After school he graduated as a teacher in Brisbane and also completed a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland. After service in the Second World War and many years as a teacher, including the foundation Principal of The Gap State High School, Tom entered St. Paul's National Seminary, Kensington NSW, and was ordained to the Priesthood on 28 August 1971 in St. Patrick's Church, Gosford. He served as an assistant priest at the Cathedral [1972-1973 & 1975-1984] and North Ipswich [1974]. He was appointed the Parish Priest of St. Joan of Arc, Herston [1984-1992]. In January 1993 he retired to the Gold Coast. He died suddenly at his home on Thursday morning 18 October 2007.
May he experience forever the joy and eternal peace of the Risen Lord.
