"Battler for the Rights of the Worker" (Cath. Weekly, Syd.)
b. 1860 in Dublin; ed. mainly at St. Isidore's, Rome; ord. at St. John Lateran's, Rome, 1887. Arr. Syd. in early '90's; Woollahra, Waverley, where he built a school; Paddington; Woollahra. Highly eulogised in the Cath. Press of 29.5.1919 as a social justice advocate and "an inspiring preacher who could pack a church any Sunday evening. He died at the Sacred Heart Hospice, Syd., on 28.5.1919 at the age of 59. Buried in Waverley Cemetery.
