Rt Rev Monsignor Leslie Vincent John Schuhkraft, died 11 Apr 1992
Leslie Vincent John Schuhkraft was born in Brisbane on 9th September, 1903, to Frederick and Mary Anne Schuhkraft (nee Dean). He attended Sacred Heart Convent, Rosalie; St James, Boundary Street and Gregory Terrace. His Seminary training was at St Patrick's, Manly, and he was ordained in St Mary's, Ipswich, on 21st December, 1927, by Archbishop Duhig. His appointments were St Patrick's Parish, Toowoomba (1928-30); Holy Name Parish (1930-31); Cunnamulla (1931-36); Jandowae (1936-48); Millmerran (1948-76); Clifton (1976-83). He retired from Clifton Parish to Taringa in 1983, aged 80 years, after 55 years of active parochial work. He is buried in the Toowoomba Lawn Cemetery.
